Former UN Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights, Kate Gilmore is Chair of the Board for International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), Vice Chair of the Board for Interpeace – an international peace building organization, co-chair of the WHO Gender and Human Rights Advisory Panel on Human Reproduction and a member of the WHO Immunization Agenda 2030 Partnership Panel. Until recently, Professor-in-Practice with the International Development Department of the London School of Economics (LSE) and an Honorary Professor with the Human Rights Centre at the University of Essex, she is a past Fellow with Harvard University’s Carr Centre for Human Rights Policy. Kate was also Deputy Executive Director/Programme with the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) and earlier, Executive Deputy Secretary General of Amnesty International. She started her career in Australia, working to combat violence against women and advance related public policy and services.
