WD2026 Arts Program: Expression of Interest

At Women Deliver 2026 (WD2026), the world’s largest gatherings for gender equality, art will take center stage. Through visual art, performance, digital and multimedia works, and storytelling, the WD2026 Arts Program will celebrate creativity as a force for advocacy, healing, and change.

We are calling for two types of artistic contributions:

  • Performance Art – live works such as music, spoken word, dance, theatre, and storytelling.
  • Digital Art – visual works such as photography, illustration, multimedia, and other digital submissions.

Artists and collectives from around the world are invited to submit their expressions of interest. Selected digital works will be showcased throughout the Conference in Narrm (Melbourne), Australia, while selected performers may be invited to share their art live on stage, creating spaces for connection, reflection, and movement building.

Key Dates

  • Applications open: 23 September 2025
  • Applications close: Rolling basis
  • Notifications: Ongoing, with all final outcomes shared by February 2025

Who Can Apply

  • Open to individual artists, groups, and collectives worldwide
  • Works can be visual, performance-based, digital, or multimedia
  • Applications accepted in English, French, or Spanish
  • Collaborative submissions encouraged

How to Apply

Before submitting an application, please prepare the following:

  1.  Your Work
  • Digital Art: Upload up to 3 pieces (PNG, JPEG, or MP4).
  • Performance: Submit a proposal describing your piece, its themes, and connection to WD2026 (max 250 words), including a video or audio sample (video encouraged).
  1. Artist Biography – A short bio about yourself and your artistic journey (max. 150 words).
  2. Artist Statement – Describe the concept behind your work and how it connects to gender equality and WD2026 (max. 300 words for digital art / included in proposal for performance).
  3. Additional Links – Add links to your website, social media, or past work (optional).

Selection

Applications will be reviewed by WD2026 advisors. We will look for creativity, inclusivity, alignment with WD2026 themes, and the power to inspire action.

Artist Benefits

Selected artists will receive discounted registration of $550 USD. This discount is non-transferable. There are a limited number of full scholarships available for selected artists to attend WD2026 in person.
