Convene the Ecosystem and Partners
Convening is one of Women Deliver’s greatest strengths and a central expression of our catalytic role. We bring diverse partners together at powerful, defining moments that advance shared political goals, inspire imagination and commitment, and accelerate collective action.
Each gathering sits within a longer process of change. It strengthens relationships, moves political thinking forward, and contributes to sustained action before, during, and after the moment itself.
What this pathway does
We convene at three interconnected levels:
- Women Deliver Conferences: Major moments when the gender equality ecosystem comes together to imagine, commit, assess progress, and act.
- Other global spaces: Strategic engagement in the multilateral and policy processes where important norms, standards, and commitments are shaped.
- Targeted convenings: Regional and thematic gatherings between major moments that deepen relationships, strengthen alignment, and sustain collective action.
Our catalytic role
Women Deliver brings movements, States, funders, multilateral institutions, civil society, and other partners into purposeful dialogue around shared political goals.
Our role extends beyond bringing people into the same room. We help create the relationships, political alignment, and accountability needed to turn moments of connection into sustained action. We design convenings as part of longer processes that begin before an event and continue after it.
What success looks like
By 2030, Women Deliver Conferences and other strategic convenings will serve as defining moments for the gender equality ecosystem. They will deepen political alignment, strengthen relationships across movements and sectors, generate meaningful commitments, and accelerate collective action around the Melbourne Declaration’s vision.
