What ignited your pursuit for gender equality?

Being a female in a small town in Vietnam, I have observed different forms and shapes of gender discrimination. Growing up, I always attempted to fight against this inequality through education because I believe in women's potential.

Please share your biggest wins as an advocate for gender equality.

As a Women Deliver Small Grantee, I am conducting a project aiming at reducing mental disorders prevalence and suicidal behaviours among teenagers by incorporating mental well-being education into secondary schools in Vietnam. Previously, I held weekly basic trainings for Vietnamese and Burmese rural women about personal finance. This project has provided around 50 rural women with basic concepts about financial independence, which directly influence the securities, living status, and educational level of their own and families.

Outside of your gender equality advocacy work, what do you enjoy doing?

In my free time, I love performing arts (writing poems, painting and dancing), practicing yoga, reading, and traveling.
