Solange advocates for sustainable agriculture and the inclusion of displaced youth, especially young women. As the co-founder of Refugee Youth Changemakers, she has played a pivotal role in empowering over a thousand young refugees by amplifying their voices and advocating for their rights. Her commitment extends to her role on the Youth Advisory Committee for the Displaced and Refugee Youth Enabling Environment Mechanism Project, backed by the World University Service of Canada. Currently, as a Mastercard Foundation Scholar, Solange is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Agricultural Sciences at Earth University, Costa Rica, and has contributed to biochar production research at Cornell University’s ECOLAB. Recognized as a Young Champion for Refugees by UNHCR, she also led the 2023 UNHCR Young Champions delegation at the Global Refugee Forum in Geneva. Solange’s dedication serves as a beacon of hope, inspiring young refugee women to overcome adversity and achieve success.
