Bio
Kelly is a medical doctor with a passion for sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and holds a master’s degree in Global Health Delivery, specializing in gender, sexual, and reproductive health (SRH). Kelly was actively involved with the Jars of Love community in Burundi, where she worked with young single mothers, providing them with SRHR education and entrepreneurial skills. This initiative aimed to help them gain agency over their lives and secure a sustainable future for themselves and their children. Additionally, Dr. Kelly is currently collaborating with Health Affairs Initiatives (HAI) to educate adolescent girls about SRHR. Her work primarily focuses on rural areas and young women vulnerable to unintended teenage pregnancy due to a lack of essential resources and access to education. Through the Emerging Leaders Program, Kelly hopes to amplify her advocacy and community impact to advance the SRHR of young women and girls in underserved communities.
