Bruna is originally from Brazil and presently lives in the Netherlands. She received a Master of Arts in Development Studies: Social Justice Perspectives with a specialisation in Women and Gender Studies from the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS). A passionate activist and intersectional feminist, her work has focused on advancing gender equality, enabling youth engagement and leadership, reducing health inequities and fighting against stigma and discrimination.
What ignited your pursuit for gender equality?
The more I began to understand how the structure worked against me and my sisters because we're womxn, the more I wanted to disrupt it.
