Ayshka Najib

People's Climate Diplomacy Program

Co-founder and Campaign Coordinator

Ayshka Najib is a climate justice activist based in the UAE actively working on shifting power to communities at the frontlines of the climate emergency. She is a co-founder of Fridays For Future MAPA (Most Affected People and Areas) and the People’s Climate Diplomacy Program, where she serves as Campaign Coordinator and Just Transition Lead. She trains frontline youth leaders in climate diplomacy and builds a COP-to-Community pipeline that ensures international commitments translate into real implementations and opportunities at the community level.

As the MENA Regional Lead at the Youth Climate Justice Fund, Ayshka works to dismantle financial barriers to justice by directing flexible and long-term funding to youth-led movements.

She was also appointed as the UNICEF Youth Advocate to the UAE and as the Youth Lead on feminist climate action for UN Women Generation Equality Forum. Through these roles, she has worked closely with the UN systems to advance gender-just, rights-based climate action. She believes that climate solutions should not be abstract policies, but rooted in human rights and justice itself.
