Meti is an Ethiopian Pan-African feminist and advocate for equal opportunities and the fight against gender-based injustices. With nearly a decade of experience in youth engagement, communications, and advocacy, Meti has dedicated her career to advancing the rights of women and girls. She serves on the boards of both the World YWCA and YWCA Ethiopia and has previously contributed her expertise as a youth board member for the Global Youth Mobilization initiative. Meti's work at the Malala Fund has seen her co-lead the Girls' Vision for Education Initiative, which has been pivotal in promoting girls' education, agency, and empowerment. Her efforts in shaping global campaigns and engaging young women and girls across multiple countries highlight her strategic vision that girls' agency is essential in all programming.
