Mónica de Pinto Ribeiro Hancke
Chief of Staff
Guided by intersectional feminist values and approaches, Mónica (they/she) is committed to transformative change in global development, building a more representative, equitable, and just sector that centers the experiences and leadership of women and girls, and gender-diverse people. Their decade-long career has spanned Nicaragua, Kenya, Tanzania, Guinea-Bissau, Timor-Leste, and the US, focusing always on movement-building, trust-based grantmaking, and facilitating gender justice advocates’ access to and leadership in global policy-making spaces.
Mónica joined Women Deliver in 2018 to support country-level coalition-building in Kenya and Senegal (through the Deliver for Good campaign) and in 2022 transitioned to the Office of the President/CEO where they now serve as Chief of Staff and lead all Executive Engagement, strategic planning, Board Affairs, and institutional project coordination and management.
A “Third Culture Kid”, Mónica hails from Portugal and Norway by way of the UK, the Netherlands, and speaks five languages. When not pushing for policy-change, you can find them punching out the patriarchy on a boxing bag.
