Darcy Allen De Gracia

Darcy Allen De Gracia (she/her) started at Women Deliver in May 2018. Prior to joining the External Relations team, Darcy contributed five years to global policy and advocacy at Women Deliver, where her work centered on sexual and reproductive health and rights, universal health coverage and health systems, particularly in UN spaces and processes and in partnership with an array of stakeholders.
Darcy’s previous experience includes five years at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) where she contributed to the management of global programs for ending preventable maternal mortality and eliminating obstetric fistula, provided technical assistance to UNFPA field offices and partners, and strengthened SRHR policy and advocacy efforts. Darcy’s previous experience also includes conducting research on HIV/AIDS with NYC’s Department of Health, facilitating community health research in Uganda’s urban informal settlements, and strengthening community outreach activities in southern California for local government and nonprofit organizations. She holds an MA in International Development from The New School in New York and a BA in Psychology and Social Behavior from the University of California, Irvine.
Darcy is originally from southern California and lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband and young daughter. One of her favorite activities is birding, and she always brings a pair of binoculars with her in her travels.
