Women Deliver at UNGA80

Beginning on 9 September 2025, representatives from all 193 UN Member States will convene in New York for the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA80), under the theme “Better Together.” As a principal organ of the UN, the General Assembly serves as a vital platform for global dialogue, diplomacy, and decision-making on the world’s most pressing issues.

Women Deliver will be there, actively participating in strategic meetings and events. We’ll use these opportunities to push for bold commitments that advance the rights of girls, women, and gender-diverse people — including their sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).

How we’re engaging at UNGA80:

  • Pushing for urgent action and reaffirming that gender equality, SRHR, and the rights of all girls, women, and gender-diverse people are non-negotiable.
  • Engaging with Member States to share evidence and shape norms and support transformative action.
  • Building momentum and engagement for the Women Deliver 2026 Conference (WD2026), hosted by the Oceanic Pacific next year.
  • Launching the co-creation process for the “Feminist Playbook,” a collective declaration that will articulate our shared vision for change and the world we want to live in — creating space for defiant joy and a counter-moment to UNGA80.
  • Supporting the participation of young people and adolescents creating spaces for feminist and anti-colonial voices during UNGA80, including Women Deliver Emerging Leaders.
