Gaitano Ndalo
Senior Associate, Youth Engagement (East Africa Regional Advisor)
Gaitano Muganda Ndalo is an experienced professional with over 8 years of advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in Africa. He’s provided technical support to grassroot women’s rights organizations in Kenya, Uganda, and Zambia, supporting them in conceptualizing advocacy strategies geared towards holding governments accountable for adopting and implementing progressive SRHR laws and policies. Gaitano’s work included developing advocacy strategies, coordinating adolescent and youth focused projects, SRHR content development and training youth advocates in policy and legal advocacy. He’s also presented at key platforms like the African Commission on Human and People’s Rights, African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACERWC) and CEDAW, contributing to the advancement of SRHR standards.
He managed projects aimed at reducing teenage pregnancies, promoting gender equality, and strengthening SRHR policies. Currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Sexual Reproductive Health Rights and Policy from Amref International University, Gaitano continues to dedicate his passion to drive positive change in adolescent and youth SRHR across the region. Known for his strategic thinking and leadership, he’s coordinated partnerships that prioritized the rights of young people and supported workplace wellness initiatives, demonstrating a holistic approach to community well-being.
