Sruthi was awarded a $5,000 Women Deliver seed grant, made possible by Johnson & Johnson, to implement her project entitled “Emergency Contraception in India; Use, Trends, and Policy Implications.” The project seeks to understand the use of emergency contraception in India by using secondary data from the National Family Health Survey (2015-2016). Sruthi will identify the policy implications on access to contraception and safe abortion and the need for comprehensive sexuality education for young people in India.
