SEED Community Project Trains Women in Communities on their Rights as Workers

share

Under a February 2017 community project known as SEED (Women’ Social and Economic Empowerment), Stephanie Ephraim (Class of 2018) mentored a group of young women in communities to provide them knowledge and skills needed to effectively participate in markets and to gain employment. The project also supported women in gaining an understanding of their rights as citizens and as employees and workers. This training impacted more than 200 people, including men who agreed to support women in their communities in upholding the wellbeing of the family and community, and to start sharing household responsibilities so women can pursue other opportunities to enrich their lives.
