share

Onward Chironda received a $5,000 seed grant from Women Deliver — made possible by Johnson and Johnson — to implement The Girls Choose project. Onward’s seed grant project raised awareness on child, early and forced marriages and created an enabling environment for the elimination of child, early and forced marriages in Masvingo Urban and Chivi Districts of Masvingo, Zimbabwe. Through his project, Onward and My Age Zimbabwe trained 22 community representatives across sectors, all of whom have experience working with young people, on how to educate and engage key stakeholders on legal concepts surrounding child marriages.
