Hazel Chitopo Speaks Up for Disabled Persons’ Voting Rights in Zimbabwe

In February, Hazel Chitopo (Class of 2013) was invited to present a petition to The Portfolio Committee on Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs on the rights of persons with disabilities to exercise their right to vote. She and her team recommended to the committee that they provide voter education materials in more accessible formats including ballot papers in Braille; assistance to voters in need; and transportation for persons with disabilities.
