During Youth Week, Madeline Wells (Class of 2018) spoke to students at Hellyer College in Tasmania about volunteering, including her work on Amnesty International’s women rights campaign. She discussed creating opportunities as young people, and shared examples of young people doing great things globally, such as 13-year old water protector Autumn who addressed the UN in March. This talk opened the platform for other young people to share their stories and interests in human rights, environmental rights, as well as changes they want to make at the local level.
