Génesis Luigi (Class of 2016) participated in Resolución de Conflictos, Paz y Desarrollo’s Presiding Officers Extraordinary Meeting to agree on the list of indicators for the Montevideo Consensus in the Latin America and Caribbean region. The Montevideo Consensus recognizes the SRHR of adolescents and youth, women’s right to safe and legal abortion, and sexual rights beyond women’s human rights. This meeting served as a space to hear the preliminary country reports on the implementation of the Consensus. International Planned Parenthood Federation/ Western Hemisphere Region launched “Mira que te miro,” a database to monitor the consensus implementation in the region.
