Adebisi Bidemi Adenipekun, a Women Deliver Young Leader and 2016 World Contraception Day Ambassador, was awarded the Niger State Merit Award for successfully implementing community development service projects through the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program. Adebisi’s contributions to community health include: commemoration of 2016 World Health Day through a grassroots community mobilization for diabetes prevention and management; infrastructural facelift of the primary health center in Kampala village, Niger state; and facilitation of non-remunerated voluntary blood donation campaign in which 300 people donated blood.
