Kim Lufkin

Director, Communications

Kim joined Women Deliver as the Director of Communications in August 2022. She brings more than 15 years of experience in journalism, editing and communications strategy in gender, sexual health and rights, and postcolonial narratives in international development.

Kim is a seasoned communications professional with a strong background in directing multifaceted programs on gender and health research, rights, and justice issues. She’s led comprehensive communications strategies on issues ranging from abortion to maternal health, contraceptive access, and HIV/AIDS for organizations such as the Guttmacher Institute, Marie Stopes International, the Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health and Path. She started her career as a writer and editor covering abortion, HIV/AIDS and other sexual health and rights issues globally.

Kim holds a Master’s Degree in Anthropology and Gender Studies and a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology and English Literature. Her academic research focused on postcolonial narratives in international health and gender programming.
