Kate Gilmore

Former UN Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights, Kate Gilmore is Vice Chair of the Board for Interpeace – an international peace building organization, Co-Chair of the WHO Gender and Human Rights Advisory Panel on Human Reproduction and a member of the WHO Immunization Agenda 2030 Partnership Panel. Having chaired the IPPF Board (5/2020 to 5/2026) and been a Visiting Fellow with University of Pennsylvania Perry World House, she was also a Professor-in-Practice with the International Development Department of the London School of Economics (LSE) and an Honorary Professor with the Human Rights Centre at the University of Essex.  She is a past Fellow with Harvard University’s Carr Centre for Human Rights Policy and was Deputy Executive Director/Programme with the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) and earlier, Executive Deputy Secretary General of Amnesty International.
