Joan Timoney
Senior Director of Advocacy and External Relations, Women’s Refugee Commission
Joan Timoney works at the Women’s Refugee Commission, an organization that improves the lives and protects the rights of women, children, and youth displaced by conflict and crisis. She was formerly Vice President for Programs of the Partnership for Public Service, a nonprofit organization she helped to launch, and which is dedicated to revitalizing the federal civil service and inspiring a new generation to serve. Prior to that, Joan served as the Director of Congressional Relations at the Peace Corps, the Director of the Agency’s Crisis Corps program and as its Chief of Staff.
