Communications Manager, Conference and Convenings

Heba Katoon (she/her) serves as the Communications Manager, Conference and Convenings at Women Deliver. As a life-long believer in communication for social change, Heba spent the last decade managing successful communications and advocacy projects. Most recently, she led the communications aspects for the Generation Equality Forum at UN Women, a major global inflection point for gender equality that gathered world leaders, corporations and change makers to make historic financial, policy and programme commitments to advance gender equality.

Heba strives to build dynamic and integrated communications to lead global social innovation, diversity, equity, and sustainability initiatives. Her previous roles include managing strategic communications at UN Women and UNDP on national, regional and global levels, working on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals such as gender equality, access to quality education, poverty, women peace and security, and climate change.

She is passionate about bridging research and practice for gender equality. In addition to teaching communications at a number of leading universities, Heba holds an M.A. in Diversity and the Media from University of Westminster and is currently working towards her PhD in Media and Communication at Temple University. Her area of research focuses on data-driven and digital advocacy for social change in the MENA region.
