Fauzia Dawood

Director, External Relations

Fauzia Dawood (she/her) serves as the Director of External Relations at Women Deliver. A passionate and deeply committed advocate for gender and racial equality focused on deconstructing the colonial systems within the philanthropic world and developing new and innovative solutions to some of the most pressing gender and racial issues facing the world. A coalition builder and collaborator, Fauzia believes there is a new way of doing philanthropy and brings over 15 years of experience working with foundations, corporations, and individual philanthropists.

 

Prior to joining Women Deliver, Fauzia led the Development Team at Global Health Corps. From 2017 – 2020, Fauzia served as the Senior Partnership Officer at the University of Global Health Equity (UGHE)—an initiative of Partners In Health. Prior to joining UGHE, Fauzia spent several years in New York City working as a fundraising consultant and a major gifts fundraiser for several non-profit organizations, including the City University of New York, Fairfield University, and charity: water. From 2007 – 2010, Fauzia lived and worked in Cairo, Egypt where she worked served as Program Officer for a small non-profit research center focused on implementing civic engagement curricula in higher education across the Middle East.

 

Fauzia holds a master’s in business administration from Yale University’s School of Management and Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Middle Eastern & Islamic Studies from New York University. She’s based in Atlanta where she grew up and now lives with her husband and their three dogs—the Breakfast Club: Waffles, Biscuits and Maples.
