Eleanor Blomstrom

Senior Manager, Policy and Advocacy

Eleanor is passionate about social and environmental justice and recognizes that human rights are fundamental for ensuring well-being and a healthy planet. She brings more than ten years of experience in global policy and advocacy at feminist NGOs, including with Fòs Feminista, the International Women’s Health Coalition (IWHC) and the Women’s Environment and Development Organization (WEDO).

She has worked with diverse constituencies and in movement building around sustainable development, health and gender equality. Her advocacy experience in global spaces includes the Commission on the Status of Women, the Third Committee of the United Nations General Assembly, the High-level Political Forum, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Generation Equality Forum. In her current role as Senior Manager, Policy and Advocacy, Eleanor focuses on ensuring that sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) are prioritized into climate change and universal health coverage. Whatever the context, her work is driven by a belief in inclusiveness, transparency, accountability and collaboration.

Eleanor holds a BA in Environmental Science from Northwestern University and a Master of International Affairs in Urban and Environmental Policy from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University.
