Advisor, Youth Engagement

Christabel Netondo serves as a consultant Advisor, Youth Engagement where she manages the grant making portfolio of the Young Leaders Program. She’s passionate about the intersection of gender and youth engagement within social development sectors. She believes that meaningful youth engagement and co-leadership is a pathway in shifting power and elevating often marginalized populations into plans, practices, programs and policies that impact them.

Prior to Women Deliver, Netondo brings in 5 years of extensive experience in youth programming gained from collaborating with grassroots, youth-led and global non-profit organizations to publish learning products, knowledge sharing in convenings, grant implementation, developing and implementing strategies for positive youth development. Notably, with Making Cents International – Youth Engagement Community of Practice and Global Partnership for Education. Netondo is also the Fellowship Coordinator at IDEO.org’s Billion Girls CoLab Program where she leads the Fellowship Program and coordination of Community Based Organizations to design girl-led concepts and to implement grant funding respectively. Earlier in her career,  she worked at KPMG East Africa, inSupply Health, HCDExchange and Heroes for Change.

Netondo draws her inspiration from Ngozi Okonjo, Ellen Sirleaf Johnson among other African and global influential women leaders. Find her binge watching documentaries, investigative series and doing gymnastics during her free time. She’s currently in her final year of MA, Diplomacy and Development at Daystar University, Kenya and holds a Bachelor of Education from Moi University. Netondo is a trained Certified Associate in Project Management,  YALI East Africa Alumni & Africa Gender Mainstreaming Awards Finalist.
