Camila Picardo Barrientos
Senior Associate, Digital Communications
Camila (she/her) is the Senior Associate for Digital Communications at Women Deliver. With seven years of experience in global communications, gender, and social development, she specializes in digital ecosystems and innovative storytelling to drive social change and community engagement. Before joining Women Deliver, she held leadership roles in transnational organizations and advised communication campaigns for educational and human rights NGOs, as well as government agencies focused on gender equality.
Camila is a Think Big Scholar and a Black Heart Foundation Scholar. She holds a BA in Communication from the University of Lima (Perú) and recently completed a fully funded MSc in Sociology at the University of Bristol (United Kingdom). She is passionate about academic research on gender, labor, and social development using decolonial feminist approaches, and has explored topics such as bodily autonomy, the Peruvian forced sterilizations case, and anti-rights movements in Latin America. She is fluent in Spanish and wants to continue building her skills in social program development.
