Gender inequality is an evil that permeates through even the most advanced societies. It is a rot that undermines global citizenry and civil harmony, preventing us from addressing and impacting relevant societal change. As young people growing in an everchanging world, who better to effect this change?

What ignited your pursuit for gender equality?

I am a gay man in Africa. I know too well what being marginalized feels like. I know and understand the many problems that affect young women who are also at an increased risk of acquiring HIV just like me. I have younger sisters, and I hope for a better future for them and an empowered, accepting world. I also believe that as a member of a marginalized sexual community, it is in my best interest to collaborate with women.

Please share your biggest wins as an advocate for gender equality.

Outside of your gender equality advocacy work, what do you enjoy doing?

I am an avid tennis fan and amateur player. I stan Serena and Venus Williams. Lover of music (Beyonce), movies, and books (JK Rowling).
