As a Country Coordinator for Pakistan at the International Youth Alliance for Family Planning (IYAFP), she is responsible for attending trainings, workshops, and meetings, and engaging with the executive board and other country coordinators. Through her work, she contributed to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) study on Youth and Human Rights. Additionally, she has joined Youth Voice Count. As an advocate, Sarim is a Youth Consultant and Advocate for Universal Periodic Review with the United Nations for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) of Young People in Pakistan.
Saro was inspired to become an advocate by Ms. Jeannette Seppen, because she, as a former Ambassador from The Netherlands to Pakistan, contributed a lot for Pakistani youths’ SRHR.
In her free time, Saro enjoys adventures and exploring new places with queer friends.
