Bio

Petronella Nduru is the Founder of Hold Her Hand am organisation that that ensure young girls have the same education opportunity as boys. She is a Women Deliver small grant recipient for 2020 and 2022. She hosts the Hey You series Podcast and blog, host Women empowerment events and is a singer and songwriter.

What ignited your pursuit for gender equality?

The passion I have to change people's lives, especially women. We live in a country where many women do not know about their rights and gender equality. I aspire to see women know the power they possess.

Please share your biggest wins as an advocate for gender equality.

I qualified as Women Deliver Small Grantee for Hold Her Hand Campaign in 2020 and 2022.I also featured on Radio (ZIFM) and on an International Newspaper (Global Press) in 2021 for the same campaign. In addition I created, hosted and coordinated Royal Deity Motivational Events namely Unfreezing event in 2018 and Bring it on 2020 event in 2019. I also qualified and participated in Youth leadership development course held by Youth Empowerment and Transformational Trust (YETT) in 2019. I co-hosted a talk show called Unpacking Series in June 2021. I also host and creating content for Hey You series podcast and blog since 2020.

Outside of your gender equality advocacy work, what do you enjoy doing?

Composing songs and singing, reading books, and attending church.
