Mina Tolu is passionate about raising awareness about trans rights and gender equality in Europe.
Mina is originally from Malta and currently lives in Germany. They studied Communications at the University of Malta. As a Communications Officer at Transgender Europe (TGEU), they are responsible for campaign message development and online communications about trans rights. Through their work, they organized an online collaborative campaign with Transgender Europe’s partner organizations. Additionally, they also are the Campaign Team Member at the Federation of Young European Greens. As an advocate, Mina is proud of setting up and leading an LGBTQIA+ youth organization at the University of Malta.
Mina was inspired to become an advocate by Ruth Baldacchino, an LGBTQIA+ activist who recognizes the value of youth voices in LGBTQIA+ spaces and fights daily for the global LGBTQIA+ community.
In their free time, Mina enjoys sketching, photography, sports, and participating in protests with friends and fellow activists.
