Madeline Wells is passionate about listening and actively supporting women’s rights over their bodies, future, and overall safety.
Madeline was born and raised in Australia. She received an Education Support Certificate as a Trainee Teacher’s Aide at a local primary school in Burnie, Tasmania, and Tourism and Hospitality Certificates at Hellyer College of Burnie, Tasmania, Australia. As an Aboriginal Vocational Education and Training Officer at Tas TAFE in Tasmania, Australia, she is responsible for engaging and supporting the community’s students who identify as Indigenous. As an advocate, Madeline is proud to have attended a United Nations Forum on Human Rights and speaking on a side event panel about Indigenous rights.
Madeline was inspired to become an advocate by First Nations women in her community growing up, because she saw powerful women in her community create social movements and advocate for their rights.
In her free time, Madeline enjoys volunteering with the Seed Indigenous Youth Climate Network, Jane Goodall’s Roots and Shoots, and Amnesty International Australia.
