What ignited your pursuit for gender equality?

I grew up with inspiring woman. In a very restrictive society for the professional development of women, this woman built and developed herself in order to be a great leader. Nowadays she helps young people, mainly women, to be independent and develop their leadership. This woman is my mother, and she keeps inspiring and motivating me day by day.

Please share your biggest wins as an advocate for gender equality.

In 2017, as the Local Committee Vice President of Out Going Exchanges and former Global volunteer of AIESEC Turkey, I inspired, motivated, and helped around 50 people to volunteer abroad and live the AIESEC exchange program. The reason why I am particularly proud of this is that it was a life-changing experience for all of them. Most of them had never been out of their comfort zone, and, after those volunteering experiences, staring becoming global citizens. I won the award of the Best Out Going Exchanges Vice President of AIESEC in Senegal because of the record of the number of people sent abroad and the positive impact of the experience on their lives.

Outside of your gender equality advocacy work, what do you enjoy doing?

Traveling, volunteering, movies, spending time with friends, enjoying food, and living new experiences.
