Everyone's favorite phrase to refer to younger people is "full of energy." However, our contribution to society doesn't stop there. We also have plans, strategies, and the will to work for our communities to thrive. We live in an amazing time when all generations can come together to create real change.

What ignited your pursuit for gender equality?

You only have to live a few years as a woman to become a feminist. Frankly, I don’t know if it was one moment. I want to dedicate my life to making sure that no generation has to live through any hardship for merely being a woman.

Please share your biggest wins as an advocate for gender equality.

I collaborated with an amazing trainer from Belarus on a workshop about self-esteem, beauty standards, and female empowerment for the SRT Madrid 2018. That gave me the idea to develop a similar workshop called "Being Women" for the general public about CSE, GBV, and female empowerment in Honduras, which is still in process. My favorite part about capacity building is seeing people realize their true potential.

Outside of your gender equality advocacy work, what do you enjoy doing?

In my spare time, I try to learn as many new things as possible. Sometimes that means learning a new language or new vegetarian recipes. Often it means delving deeper into the richness of Latin American culture through reading, cooking, and dancing.
