Chikondi Mandala is passionate about performing community outreach and dissemination of legal resources to women.
Chikondi was born and raised in Malawi. She studied Law at the University of Malawi and will be pursuing a LLM at Harvard Law School. As a Program Coordinator for Women Judges Association of Malawi, she is responsible for planning and coordinating projects for the organization. Through her work, she has conducted court tours for primary and secondary school learners to engage them at an early age about youth participation. She is also a Senior Resident Magistrate at Malawi Judiciary. As an advocate, she is proud to have contributed towards written training manuals for gender-based laws that were used to train members of the justice sector.
Chikondi was inspired to become an advocate by Nobel Laureate Wangari Maathai because she believed in her cause and overcame adversity to uplift women and her nation.
In her free time, Chikondi enjoys spending time outdoors with her loved ones.
