Anna was born and raised in Poland. She received a Doctor of Medicine degree, a Master of Science degree in Physiotherapy, and is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Psychiatry and Sexology. As a General Member of the Youth Coalition for Sexual and Reproductive Rights, she is responsible for international advocacy with a focus on comprehensive sexuality education (CSE), youth-friendly services, and human rights.
Since becoming a Young Leader, Anna is proud she delivered a statement at the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) that was a collaborative work of different stakeholders pointing out gaps in the Voluntary National Review (VNR) presented by Poland. She also led one-day workshops in Warsaw and a series of webinars conducted by the Youth Coalition for Sexual and Reproductive Rights and invited guests to gather together experiences and discuss possible ways of delivering CSE in the face of rising tides of conservatism in Central and Eastern Europe. Additionally, Anna was appointed to the Youth Advisory Panel to the Global Online Hub for Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) Advocacy, representing the youth voice at the High-Level Preparatory Meeting on CSE by UNFPA in December 2017. As an advocate, she campaigned for sexual and reproductive health and rights and abortion rights in Poland during HLPF 2018 through social media in cooperation with Women Major Group and was selected for an ECNP Research Internship to work in the area of adolescent mental health with a focus on suicides.
Anna advocates for girls and women because “I believe it’s high time for a meaningful shift in power.”
In her free time, Anna enjoys reading criminal novels and baking.
