The Youth Advisory Group on Education organized and facilitated a 3-day public policy dialogue with stakeholders on education to discuss the role of youth in the implementation of the Education Reform Act of 2011 in Liberia. Desmond Gaye (Class of 2018) identified policy issues within the law and developed talking points and recommendations such as establishing a youth desk at the Ministry of Education to increase youth participation. They are also planning to meet the Ministry of Youth and Sport and the Ministry of Gender to get their support in financing gender-responsive services in public schools.
