Parvina Gulyamova (Class of 2018) is part of the “Living with Dignity: A gender-relational approach to building community resilience and responses to Violence against Women and Girls in Tajikistan” project. The project was created to shift social norms and gender roles within families. It also aims to identify methods to promote harmony and understanding within families; build families’ skills for financial management; and strengthen household economies by creating income-generating activities so young women could play a more active role. Parvina helped lead successful efforts on the economic empowerment activities of the project.
