In Bolivia, Miguel Angel Becerra Brito (Class of 2016) worked with youth and feminist movements for the passage of Law 807, known as the Gender Identity Law, which recognizes the changes in name, sex, and image of transgender people in all public and private documents linked to their identity, allowing them to more fully exercise their right to gender identity. They made recommendations that focused on guaranteeing compliance with human rights such as the free development of a person according to their gender identity, nondiscrimination, and the right to compensation for any damage suffered as a result of the discriminatory act.
