Prior to the G7 Summit, Marie Kitano (Class of 2018) spoke at an event in Japan about challenges related to SRHR and comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) in the country.. At the conclusion of the event, Ms. Sumie Ishii, former director of the Japanese Organization for International Cooperation in Family Planning, acknowledged the need for changes in how sexuality education is delivered in Japan.
