The Global Festival of Action for Sustainable Development is the world´s most inspiring SDG event to celebrate, empower, and connect the global community driving action for the Sustainable Development Goals. Laveza Khan (Class of 2018) attended the festival as a nominee for the UN Action Award for the Together 2017 Symposium, which she organized during the fall of 2017 in Calgary, Alberta. She spoke as an award nominee during the “Meet the Finalists” session. The Festival in Bonn convened organizations and individuals from different sectors and regions to exchange, build partnerships, and make the impact of their solutions scale. The next steps were focused on action and collaboration across governments, companies, civil society, cities and individuals and the need for all to contribute and move forward together in order to achieve the Global Goals.
