Kobe Smith (Class of 2018) provided final recommendations for a national policy reintegrating teenage mothers into the school system. Through these recommendations, his organization Guyana Responsible Parenthood Association was invited to participate in a steering committee to help develop the policy. He and fellow committee members led the advocacy efforts to finalize the policy through negotiations and consultations. They engaged the Minister of Public Health on implementing the national Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Policy.
