“Kefaya” (Enough) Campaign Addresses Gender-Based Violence in Sudan

share

The Standing Committee on Sexual and Reproductive Health including HIV/AIDS (SCORA) in Razan Othman‘s (Class of 2018) university organized an online campaign and in-person event in April, in addition to a 6-hour event in April 2018 called “Kefaya,” an Arabic word that means “Enough.” By the end of their campaign, the organizers increased people’s knowledge of gender-based violence (GBV). The project included a workshop for medical students that would equip them with skills to raise awareness on GBV in the community and provide effective responses to instances of GBV as future doctors in keeping with their professional responsibilities as health professionals. Razan played an integral role in producing a silent play to shed a light on GBV.
