Young Leader Joannes Yimbesalu from Cameroon had the exciting opportunity to meet with the Queen of England and Prince Harry as part of an invitation to attend the inaugural launch of the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust at Buckingham Palace on October 17, 2017. The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust celebrates the Queen’s belief in young people as a force for good focusing on sport, education, health and environment and aims to enable them to build a better future for all. Joannes leveraged this platform to talk about his work in the areas of education and gender quality, proposing strategies for young people to become more involved within the Commonwealth. He will continue to work with the Royal Family on this new initiative headed by Prince Harry as President and the Queen as Patron.
