As part of a team of youth volunteers for Planned Parenthood Association of Sierra Leone, Isha Bassie (Class of 2018) helped raise awareness in communities on family planning and SRHR using theater as a means of disseminating vital information. During the awareness-raising campaign, they promoted the use of male condoms and the importance of its dual protection against unplanned pregnancies and STIs, and offered guidance on its proper use. She was responsible for coordinating and organizing her colleagues and youth volunteers during the entire process, and participated in a two-day workshop on comprehensive sexuality education and life skills for SRH youth advocates and young people with disabilities.
