Isaac was awarded a $5,000 Women Deliver seed grant, made possible by Johnson & Johnson, to implement his project entitled “My Body, My Right.” Female Genital Cutting (FGC) is still widely practiced among many groups in Nigeria. This project aims to fill gaps left by the Violence Against Persons Prohibition Act (VAPP) of 2015 through advocacy, community mobilization, and digital media efforts. The goals are to achieve widespread awareness of VAPP throughotu Nigeria and to ensure its enforcement in incidents of FGC in Esan West, Edo State, Nigeria.
