Marinella Matejcic, a Women Deliver Young Leader, is implementing a seed grant project, made possible by Johnson & Johnson, to advocate for comprehensive sexuality education for young people in Croatia. In order to tackle some of the many barriers and stigma against access to comprehensive sexuality education in Croatia, Marinella and her seed grant project team met with the Head of the Rijeka Department of Education and the Head of the Croatian Committee on Gender Equality, and with the Head of the Department of the Prevention of Violence to garner support for the project and to raise awareness of the need for quality comprehensive sexuality education in schools.
