As Executive Director of DIVA for Equality in Nadi, Fiji, Noelene is a committed Pacific feminist analyst, activist, organiser, and advocate with over 40 years of experience working with anyone and everyone in the pursuit of liberation across all territories — including the body. Her organising spans a wide range of feminist and social justice movements, including the Women Defend the Commons Network; Pacific Feminist Community of Practice; Pacific Feminist SRHR Coalition; Pacific Feminists Defending the Living Planet (Feminist Climate Justice); Pacific LBQ Working Group; Pacific Islands Feminist Alliance for Climate Justice (PIFA4CJ); Pacific Women’s Mediation Network (PWMN); the Women’s Major Group (HLPF, global); Women’s Rights Caucus (CSW, global); Women and Gender Constituency (UNFCCC, Sendai, UNEA); the Global South Coalition on SRHR and Development Justice; FREE (Regions Refocus); and other regional and global feminist alliances.
As Co-Chair of the Regional Steering Committee for Oceania and the Pacific, she is determined that, in these fierce times, Women Deliver 2026 centres the joy, strength, and strategic power of feminists. Grounded in collective care and resistance, she remains unwavering in her commitment to ourselves, to other species, and to this beautiful, living planet.
