Nicholas Maistros – Women Deliver

Nicholas Maistros

Director, Operations

As Director of Operations, Nicholas Maistros leads Women Deliver’s finance, administration, IT, legal, and HR functions, ensuring the organization operates efficiently and sustainably. Working closely with the President & CEO, External Relations, and program teams, Nicholas oversees the organization’s budget development and financial management, from proposal budgets through financial reporting and closeout. He guides strategic financial planning, manages grant administration and donor compliance, and provides operational support to enable Women Deliver’s programs and advocacy work. Nicholas also leads the annual budgeting process and presents operational and financial updates to the Board of Directors.

Prior to joining Women Deliver in 2019, Nicholas served as Grants Manager at Action Against Hunger and the International Center for Transitional Justice, managing award portfolios of $30-60M with funding from a variety of governments and foundations. He also volunteered as Coordinator of Social Communications at the Academy of Medical & Public Health Services, a nonprofit that brings free health services to Brooklyn’s immigrant communities. When Nicholas is not supporting the incredible work of Women Deliver, he is usually writing a short story.

Nicholas is thrilled to be a part of the Women Deliver family and to support its mission for worldwide gender equality.
